The primary purpose of the job position is to assist in the planning, organizing, develop, evaluating and directing the day-to day functions of the nursing department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Perform duties of the Director of Nursing in the absence of the Director of Nursing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, directing, and evaluating the nursing program
- Participate in facility regulatory surveys
- Participate in care plan and discharge planning meetings
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary
- Make frequent facility rounds to monitor the ongoing functions of the facility, correct issues immediately and discuss findings with the Director of Nursing.
- Perform chart audits of new and current residents and correct issues immediately
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, orienting, training, disciplining and termination of nursing staff.
- Serve as a liaison for families and the nursing department
- All other duties & responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Possess an unencumbered, active Nursing license in the state of Illinois.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in Long Term or Post-Acute care in a management role
- At least 1-year experience as a nurse.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Must have experience with an electronic documentation system, Electronic Health Record
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
- Must pass a pre-employment physical
Salary : $73,400 - $92,900
