HR Manager

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
• 5-10 years Human Resources Generalist experience in a management role required
• Knowledge of state & federal legislation regarding employee relations, benefits, and workers compensation
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, planning, and computer skills required
• Previous automotive/manufacturing experience required

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures prompt resolution of colleague issues
• Interprets and provides guidance to divisional management and colleagues relative to Human Resources policy and practices
• Assists in the development, implementation and enforcement of company policies and procedures
• Investigates complaints, problems, issues, and disciplinary situations
• Manages colleague performance review and evaluation process
• Ensures compliance with governmental regulatory agencies
• Coordinates divisional colleague monthly meetings including, preparing the agenda
• Manages divisional job posting program
• Recruits, screens, interviews, and hires prospective hourly and salaried colleagues
• Negotiates employment contracts and presents offers
• Participates as a member of the divisional health and safety committee
• Administers divisional health and safety program including timely resolution of safety committee action plans and ensures accidents are reported and investigated in a timely manner.
• Manages worker’s compensation program
• Manages wage and salary administration program in a consistent and equitable manner
• Coordinates and participates in civic, community and charitable events
• Maintains divisional colleague files
• Maintains divisional HRIS data base

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
