Webasto is looking for a Production Team Lead to join our new plant in New Hudson, MI
Key Responsibilities
- Train, develop, monitor, colleagues and update training matrix as needed
- Provide direction on daily tasks to operators, assign work areas based on priorities, attendance and skill sets
- Responsible for the work results of its related team of production operators, directs them and offers first-response problem resolution
- Correction of malfunctions in the line, initiation of maintenance and servicing of machines and equipment (TPM) according to standard
- Act as interface between Production line and support services such as Quality, SCM/Line Feeder, ME / MT
- Maintain a positive work environment and ensures colleague compliance to all applicable standards and instructions particularly, but not exclusively relating to workplace and environmental safety, product safety and quality and employee guidebook/anti-harassment
- Good knowledge of the boundary book, and the ability to teach its contents.
- Needs to be an expert re-worker, capable of working and leading, simultaneously.
- Inspection of parts the team has reworked, and teaching to areas where improvement is needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities, preferably with 1 year minimum experience in a lead role in a manufacturing environment
- Positive approach towards safety and 5s standards
- Ability to lead in a fast paced, team oriented, manufacturing environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or GED required
