Analyst, Proxy & Escheatment

We are currently seeking to hire an Analyst, Proxy & Escheatment based out of our Jersey City office. The Analyst is primarily responsible for Proxy delivery and tracking / escheating of abandoned property to customer’s state of domicile. The Analyst works with various Proxy vendors to ensure Wedbush customers receive meeting notices, proxy ballots, and other communications to guarantee all shareholder rights are available and exercised. The Analyst is also the primary party covering Abandoned Property. This function requires the Analyst to track accounts that are abandoned.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure clients receive shareholder meeting notices and associated ballots to vote on governance issues
• Ensure customers receive proxy ballots if they are unable to attend the meeting in person
• Track all returned mail (physical and electronic) to identify abandoned accounts
• Monitor abandoned accounts, identifying those that are scheduled to be turned over to the state
• Deliver abandoned assets per each individual state’s schedule
• Assist with the development of KRIs
• Contribute to the growth and development of initiatives focused on creating a more efficient process while reducing risk
• Perform other duties as required and assigned

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited University, or equivalent experience
• Basic knowledge of all product types, including but not limited to, equities & fixed income
• Working knowledge of financial markets and operations
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent follow up and reconciliation skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and work independently while keeping focus on the group’s strategic initiatives
• Highly organized and detailed oriented
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SQL
• Knowledge of FIS Phase 3, Fidessa, CTM and DTCC websites is a plus

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $60,000-$65,000. At Wedbush, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
