Position Summary
The Assistant Sales Manager works closely with the Store Manager to learn all aspects of running a jewelry store. As a member of our Management Team, this individual will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, achieving sales goals, adhering to Wedding Day Diamond’s visual presentation standards, and maximizing profits by controlling expenses and protecting company assets. The Assistant Sales Manager will work with the Store Manager in providing guidance, direction, and development to the store team in order to achieve all revenue, profit and customer service goals.
This role will report directly to the Store Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism to achieve high levels of sales performance and results.
Develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets, and promote new business.
Assist Sales Manager with training and managing all employees in execution of daily tasks and to maximize sales.
Have a clear understanding of how the retail business works and build a winning sales culture.
Support proper channels of communication that exist between the stores, corporate and vendors.
Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers.
Build team commitment to high standards of service, exceeding customer expectations and leading by example.
Monitor sales activities to ensure customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods.
Position Requirements
HS graduate or equivalent
3 years of experience in retail or hospitality industries
1 years of management experience
1 years managing sales targets
Experience providing high-end customer service and managing customer concerns
Track record of success in a performance driven work environment
Excellent interviewing skills
Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and climb.
Proven ability to collaboratively develop and implement new sales strategies
Ability to work in an ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment
Strong analytical, reasoning and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
Jewelry and Diamond experience
Experience managing team members
Experience managing 3M in top live revenue
