We are seeking a dedicated Banquet Captain to join our team and lead the execution of flawless weddings and events. As a Banquet Captain, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests' satisfaction and making their special day truly remarkable.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of banquet staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent service excellence.
- Manage banquet setup, including table arrangements, décor, and audiovisual equipment, according to event plans.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and courteously.
- Monitor event progress and anticipate any potential issues, resolving them swiftly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized banquet area.
- Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and a customer-centric mindset among the banquet team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Banquet Captain or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a wedding or event setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and staff members.
- Proven leadership abilities, demonstrating a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, ensuring the banquet setup meets the clients' expectations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

The important extras:
- As is typical in the hospitality industry, this position requires regular availability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as shifts of more than 8 hours and workweeks of more than 40 hours.
