Operates the car or van/bus that is located at the residence. Provides transportation for residents to various appointments, shopping trips, and other locations as directed. Assists residents on/off the van/bus or in/out of the car along with their belongings. Ensures all residents using wheelchairs are properly secured in the van/bus. Escorts residents into the establishment that they are visiting. Complies with state regulations regarding passenger and equipment safety. Responsible for maintaining the appearance and operating condition of all residence vehicles. Reports any safety concerns or vehicle issues to residence director and coordinates repair or corrective actions.  Coordinates the appointment schedule for medical appointments with the Director of Nursing/Health and Wellness Director/Coordinator. Coordinate transportation for community activities with the Life Enrichment Coordinator. Will keep certification current and participate in continuing education to include staff meetings, in-services and web based trainings. Must maintain a current driver license for the state the vehicle operates in. Must have a clean driving record Certified Nurse Aid License required
