Location: Omaha, NE (preferred)) / U.S. Work from Home (Near Major U.S. Hubs).

The Fixed Income Research Analyst will participate in the process of sourcing, evaluating, and modeling fixed income investment opportunities for the firm’s
fixed income strategies, to include but not limited to U.S. investment grade, high yield and private placement investments. The position will include credit
research and trading, assist in the advancement of potential investment opportunities, and help deliver strong risk-adjusted returns to our clients. This position
will support and participate in the success of our investment team.

Essential Functions

  • Perform rigorous bottom-up fundamental credit analysis, including industry and/or sector research, evaluate an issuer’s competitive positioning, capital
structure, financial statement, bond indenture and covenant analysis, along with assessing and interacting with management.
  • Conducts portfolio surveillance to evaluate ongoing credit quality and potential ratings migration based on expected future credit performance. Maintains
a strong working knowledge of covered high yield credits and exhibits a willingness to share insights on other credits managed within the portfolio.
  • Continually monitors new issue market for primary market investment opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining proprietary financial models.
  • Demonstrates an ability to evaluate the entire capital structure and communicate the strengths and potential pitfalls of an investment idea and actively
participates in group discussions to generate value-added ideas.
  • Gains expertise in several industries and develops an effective medium by which this information is shared with the investment team.
  • Builds internal and external relationships with colleagues, sell-side traders and bankers, rating agencies, issuers, industry experts and other sources to

collect additional insights on market, industry, asset class and issuer credit developments.

Requirements

  • 5 years or more of work experience in U.S. Investment Grade, High Yield or Private Placements
  • A passion for investing, high degree of curiosity, and drive for continuous improvement
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment and openness to discussing, sharing and debating investment ideas
  • Strong understanding and ability to work in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Formal credit training a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
• Sound ethics and integrity
  • Ability and willingness to travel in support of essential functions listed above
