JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Machine Helper
Department: Production
Reports to: Production Supervisor
SUMMARY
Responsible for all activities associated with assisting the Operator and Assistant with efficient, quality conscious, safe and productive operation of the machine.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Follows all safety procedures associated with machine center.
2. Prepares bottom and top sheets for units, prints load tags.
3. Responsible for unitization per customer specification.
4. Understands and participates as required in quality checks.
5. Work at pace set by the machine operator to achieve conformance to production schedule.
6. Read and follow shop order instructions.
7. Troubleshoot problems throughout production run
8. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
9. Maintains high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in work area.
10. Participates in cross training of duties.
11. Additional duties may be assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED. Previous experience in the corrugated industry is helpful. Ability to read and write English. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic mathematical calculations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and communicate with team members. The employee frequently is required to use hands, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The employee is frequently exposed to ambient temperatures. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $16.35 per hour
