Job Description
SCHEDULE-Monday to Friday, and ability to work on nights and weekends as needed
The Texas Home Visiting Outreach Specialist will be responsible for performing various tasks to promote Texas Home Visiting Services in the community including outreach to prospective community stakeholders in person, by the phone, text, emails, and coalitions.
Serve as Lead for Texas Home Visiting(THV) Outreach by executing recruitment strategies in the community to increase enrollment for the Texas Home Visiting (THV) programs.
- Foster fruitful relationships with applicable early childhood stakeholders to educate community about the Texas Home Visiting program services
- Conduct in person presentations to local stakeholders to promote the Texas Home Visiting Services
- Collaborate with Community Stakeholders to determine eligibility for community programs
- Submit required reports in regards to community outreach etc.
- Ensure all outreach materials are organized, updated and culturally appropriate
- Conduct ongoing assessment of community outreach to ensure the implementation of the most efficient and effective outreach methods and to secure enrollment of targeted populations
- Ensure timely submission of client referrals to Texas Home Visiting Project Coordinator
- Conduct outreach to clinics, early childhood learning centers, local ISD's, local coalitions and outreach events etc.
- Coordinate outreach efforts / events in collaboration with the Texas Home Visiting Project Coordinator
- Carries out other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bilingual in Spanish (Strongly Preferred)
- Highly organized and accountable
- Independent, self-motivated worker
- Competent with computer skills, email, web browsing, internet, word processing
- Highly motivated and able to work with a variety of groups
- Must be able to read, speak, and translate in Spanish
- Part-Time position
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule in relation to outreach events etc.
- Requires a valid Texas Driver's License, appropriate driving record and auto liability insurance that meets the minimum required by State of Texas statute
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent documentation skills, attention to detail, and coordination of activities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires sitting, standing and walking for excessive periods of time. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work with a moderate noise level in the work environment is required.
The employee may, at times, lift and / or move objects up to 50 pounds
