Job Posting for Waste Water Attendant PM shift-Dunkirk, NY at Wells Enterprises

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Keeping appropriate records. Perform hourly checks.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
  • Comply with OSHA, DEC and Dunkirk Water Department standards.
  • Be able to make necessary adjustments to pumps and valves.
  • Work in outdoor environment.
  • Understand process of wastewater pretreatment.
  • Collection of samples, reset samplers.
  • Be able to climb ladders to top of tanks.
  • Able to make quick intelligent operational decisions.
  • Must keep communication between other Attendant’s, Maintenance, and Lead-Attendant.
  • Have the ability to lift 50-60 lbs.
  • Must be a Team Player who is willing to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Excellent safety record (accidents will be reviewed).
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Follow all rules/regulations.
  • Be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Able to give instructions with guidance.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

EXPERIENCE: Knowledge - Must have basic computer knowledge. Able to understand hand clamp hook-ups and product flow. * Skills - Recalls details of procedures and training and consistently follows established methods in task completion. Must be able to provide accurate measurements. * Abilities - Communication with other personnel.
