Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Procedure Writer to sit with in Commercial Banking Group.
The Senior Procedure Writer will be responsible for collaborating with lines of business, control, and other partners to ensure effective procedures, forms, and reference materials are drafted and published to adequately capture processes, controls, policy alignment, and regulatory requirements. Identify process gaps and offer alternatives. Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and management of procedures and other web content housed in a centralized content management system. Actively participate in developing documentation strategy and guidelines. May manage projects related to technical or process implementation. Write and edit new documentation and update internal team procedures as needed

In This Role, You Will
- Lead or participate in developing documentation or document publishing strategy, policy and guidelines
- Participate in establishing web publication guidelines, conduct procedure audits and certifications, or manage procedure timeline and pipeline
- Review and edit material authored by others
- Design and develop technical project artifacts, manuals, technical presentations, technical training materials, and complex web content
- Complete quality control assessments of the work performed by team
- Recommend and document business procedures and best practices, identifying process gaps and offering alternatives
- Serve as team lead or escalation point
- Provide guidance to less experienced technical writers
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Partner with clients to review audience and develop strategy to address technical documentation needs
- 4 years of Procedure Writing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Knowledge of Commercial Banking processes and policies
- Demonstrated experience consulting and writing content with subject matter experts
- Control procedure writing experience for different types of controls including manual, quality
- assurance, quality control, and automated controls
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of professional technical writing processes and tools
- Experience with writing style and standard guides
- Experience with OpenText or other content management systems
- Desk procedure writing experience
- Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Leadership experience
- Ability to work additional hours, if needed
