Every day, more architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and owners specify Wells precast building components for their construction needs and with this continued success, we are looking to hire a motivated self-starting Project Manager to join our team. The right candidate must be a problem-solver, have strong communication skills, and also be willing and ready to learn.
Pay range for this position is from $100,000 - $115,000 based on experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pre-design through completion of standard scope precast projects
- Collaborate with design teams such as architects, engineers, contractors and owners in project development and construction.
- Evaluate construction documents and identify constraints and constructability concerns to the design team.
- Construction knowledge and comprehension of all trades required on a project and their effect on precast components.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the precast industry and all company products, applications, and capabilities.
- Assist in review of contracts through execution.
- Preparation and/or review of subcontracts and change orders.
- Risk identification, management, and resolution with internal and external team stakeholders.
- Manage changes to the project scope and costs.
- Development of project schedules in alignment with contracted deliverables. Communicate deliverables to all departments.
- Weekly evaluation of cost reports, aging, and billing forecasts. Develop action plans if necessary.
- Generate billings or pay applications to be submitted to the general contractor. Champion accounts receivable for payment
- Assist in procurement of production and erection materials.
- Collaborate with erection superintendents to develop and maintain daily operations and execution of the erection plan.
- Analyze Piece Tracking reports, Production Schedules, and Delta Reports to ensure contracted schedule dates are adhered to.
- Participate weekly in onsite sub-contractor meetings. Also participate in monthly safety and quality audit of field erection and grouting crews.
- Attend sales meetings, conventions and award functions as needed.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or related degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of Project Management experience; or related construction experience preferred.
- Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, customers, and contractors.
- Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Must be able to lead a team with respect and dignity.
- OSHA 30 training certification (will be provided)
- Must be motivated and self-driven to complete a task.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel with some overnights
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment
- Visual acuity and ability to read small print
- Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment
- Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed
- Possession of valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Low risk of exposure to unusual elements.

- Intermittent field / jobsite visits will require safety precautions, and which may coincide with exposure to harsh weather.
