Description
Overview of the Position:
Quality Utility Clerk performs a variety of tasks including Supplier document approval, Receiving, Shipping, Scanning/filing, Tool/equipment calibration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Document Approval-
- Reviews, verifies, and approves that the documents sent by Suppliers comply to purchase order agreements and product drawing requirements.
- Read, analyze, and interpret the following documents:
- Engineering drawings
- Technical procedures
- Aerospace specifications
- Government regulations
- Assist with scanning Suppliers documentation into appropriate files.
Receiving-
- Reviews Suppliers documents to verify correct product and product counts
- Locates parts to correct department areas.
- Assist in completion of yearly inventory counts.
Shipping-
- Pick, pack and ship product for customer orders via FedEx, UPS.
- Assist with ordering shipping and department supplies.
- Assists with vendor and customer return processes.
Calibration-
- Ensures all aspects of equipment calibration are performed, recorded and maintained
- Scans and files certification documents in appropriate folders.
Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Previous experience/training with Document approval and with shipping carriers-FedEx and UPS is a plus. Experience with the Aerospace industry is desired.

- Must have a good understanding of manufacturing/production methods and processes.
- Must possess strong communication skills and good inter-personal skills to be able to interact positively with co-workers, all departments, suppliers, and customers.
- Must be adaptable and apply knowledge and skills to develop creative solutions.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Must have good phone skills
Visual Requirements:
- Minimum 20/25 corrected vision.
- Pass Color Vision eye exam.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to suppliers, and co-workers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
