The Security Analyst is responsible for conducting research and analysis in support of identifying and understanding cybersecurity risks to the business and delivering solutions to appropriately safeguard data and services across security technologies. They will contribute to the development and maintenance of information security controls and technology. Through their expertise, they will analyze business impact and exposure to cybersecurity risks, communicating security risks and solutions to internal and external stakeholders. They will have knowledge and functional experience with NIST domains across the organization. This position will collaborate closely within the security operations area, Information Technology teams, and across Werner to identify and help remediate security risks and vulnerabilities, resolve escalated events and lead incident response activities. This position will partner closely within the organization to evangelize security throughout the enterprise. Responsibilities: Experience in investigating network traffic for anomalies. In depth knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Linux) Experience with TCP/IP Protocols and network/security applications Knowledge of security best practices and procedures Acute attention to detail with critical thinking and analytical skills Knowledge of interpreting and analyzing vulnerability scan results In depth knowledge of current threats, vulnerabilities, and recent cyber attacks Experience managing & analyzing alerts from security tools Good written and oral communications skills Experience as a system administrator for operating systems, network services, cloud technologies, and/or domain security policies is preferred Hands-on experience with SIEM & EDR tools is a plus Works to ensure data within IAM systems is complete and accurate Provides support of on premise and cloud-based equipment and configuration Complete key metric reporting and analysis for the Identity Management environment as required. Support internal and external audit efforts of user accounts, approval processes and access changes utilizing enterprise and divisional auditing tools and process documentation Provide management awareness on any known escalations that require visibility and attention. Identity, develop, document and follow process improvements to provide consistency and establish accelerated delivery methods in relation to the enterprise demand / request fulfillment. Create and implement least-privilege-based IAM solutions to meet other teams' project and access requirements Support user life cycle processes including, but not limited to, on-boarding and off-boarding of all types of user accounts Support IAM Password Management processes and processing of system access requests Perform administration and maintenance of identity solutions Perform troubleshooting of escalated issues with identity providers or integrations Collaborate in the design, development, and maintenance of user repositories and directories Manage escalations, issues, and high-priority tasks Qualifications: An Associate’s degree in a related field, and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in technology Working knowledge of complex DMZ architecture, system security testing (Nessus and web application tools), complex network infrastructure (routers, switches, routing) as well as multiple operating systems (Windows, UNIX). Working experience with shell scripting, programming, load balancers, wireless, virtualization, web filtering systems and desktop firewalls is a plus.
