The Activity Assistant plans and
participates in one-to-one, small group and large group activities within a retirement community that may involve patients,
residents, family members, and volunteers.
The Activity Assistant may be assigned to facilitate activities in
various care settings such as independent living, assisted living, memory care,
and skilled nursing.
What you’ll do
- Plan and facilitate activities that
enrich the lives of aging adults.
- Establish meaningful yet professional
relationships with patients, residents, and family members.
- As needed, drive company vehicle to
transport activities participants.
- Coordinate event set-up and take-down.
- Order, maintain, and organize event
materials and equipment.
- Learn and apply Company, Federal,
State, and local rules, regulations, and policies.
What you’ll need
- A service-oriented approach to work
- A desire to engage with seniors to help them
live their best years
- Washington State Food Worker Card within 14 days
of hire
- CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days
of hire
- Ability to understand and communicate in the
English language
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License and
active automobile insurance
Salary Range: $16.80 - $24.70 per hour
