The Village is seeking a weekend/as needed Receptionist. This position is the first point of contact for most visitors and guests for our community and is instrumental in establishing and promoting a culture of hospitality for both internal and external customers. Hours for this position when worked will be from 8:30AM to 4:30PM on Saturday and Sunday and some holiday coverage.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Competently handles reception and hospitality duties for the front desk of the community including handling inbound and outbound phone calls, greeting and providing hospitality to guests and vendors, managing deliveries, and a variety of related reception duties. This position will respond to a number and variety of inquiries and will serve as the “expert” on the daily operations of the office to help ensure it functions smoothly and communications occur effectively.

The Receptionist serves the community as the team “expert” in areas related to assignments of vehicles, copy-room functions, the coordination of home office events including room management and the ordering/set up of meals for special functions, maintaining/stocking of supplies. The types of daily assignments are highly varied and will be dependent upon the activities of the office, planned events, and the person requesting the assistance.
- Completes other duties and assists with special projects as assigned or requested.
COMPETENCY and KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a busy office or providing support to persons in an executive or leadership role. Demonstrated knowledge and operation of computer systems and accounting in using MicroSoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) along with the ability to use organization-specific software is required. Candidate must also be able to read and write English, comprehend written and oral instructions, and complete written documentation.
- Proven customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. The person must demonstrate self-motivation and initiative, the ability to work independently and solid problem solving skills.
- Must demonstrate a high attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple priorities, as well as exceptional organizational skills. He/She will be required to support more than one person, so the ability to adapt and be flexible to various work styles is critical to the success of this position.
