West Central Equipment is the John Deere Agriculture and Turf Equipment Dealership in Central and Western Pennsylvania. We sell, service, and supply parts for John Deere tractors, skid steers, balers, combines, planters, mowers, utility vehicles, implements, and related equipment. We are seeking someone for our Somerset location who has operated farm, construction, or commercial mowing equipment and has knowledge of equipment engines and systems. The right candidate has good people skills, service department experience, and the ability to identify equipment problems. Job Duties:
- Interprets equipment problems through listening, clarifying, inspecting and test driving
- Verifies warranty coverage, service contract or maintenance plan per machine
- Develops and delivers accurate estimates
- Prepares repair orders (RO), enters RO into service database system
- Maintains customer relationship and enhances company reputation
- Maintains equipment records
- Plans delivery and pickup of equipment, and coordinates trucking schedules
- Completes required training
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and comprehend English
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Good understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems used in tractors and mowers
- Solid computer and point-of-sale system skills
- Ag and Turf equipment product knowledge
