Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and ISA certified arborist to join our team as a Utility Power Line Tree Inspector. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting tree inventory inspections around utility power lines, ensuring the safety and reliability of the electrical infrastructure while preserving the health and integrity of surrounding trees.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tree inventory inspections along utility power lines, identifying potential hazards and risks posed by trees.
- Utilize mapping software, specifically Fieldmaps, to document and track tree locations and inspection findings.
- Perform tree risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood of tree-related incidents.
- Work independently and efficiently to complete inspections within designated timelines.
- Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or inquiries related to tree management and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize inspection tasks and coordinate work schedules.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others while working in potentially hazardous environments.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, recommendations, and work performed.
Requirements:
- ISA certification as an arborist is mandatory.
- Proven experience in conducting tree inventory inspections, preferably in the context of utility power lines.
- Proficiency in using mapping software, specifically Fieldmaps, for data collection and analysis.
- Strong understanding of tree risk assessment principles and techniques.
- Excellent customer relations and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel and work in various outdoor environments and weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
