As our growth continues, West Coast Hospice Care is seeking Volunteers in the Long Beach area to aid in our mission: to provide high-quality support and service to the patients entrusted in our care. We are here to exceed the expectations of our patients, clients, and their families by providing excellent clinical care and volunteer services.

As a Volunteer, you will:

  • Provide companionship and support to our Hospice patients and their families.
  • Display compassion and care while helping our Hospice patients experience things they love to do or need help with.
  • Provide valuable input on the patient's needs.
  • Work with team members who share your passion.
  • Provide clerical help with the hospice agency when available or needed

Other requirements include:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Respecting the patient’s privacy and maintaining confidentiality
  • Current California driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
