Westaff is seeking an Outpatient Receptionist for a Non-Profit Organization in Helena, MT!!!
Schedule: Full Time, M-F 7:30 am – 4:30 pm & 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Term: 3 months , could turn into a permanent opportunity for the right fit!!!
Pay: $15/hr
General Duties:
- Answers incoming telephone and interdepartmental calls; routes calls to the appropriate department; holds calls as directed and takes messages as needed.
- Greets guests that are visiting facility in a professional manner.
- Provides information to visitors and callers within hospital guidelines.
- Notifies Outpatient Providers of patient or visitor arrival per facility protocol.
- Assists in checking in patients.
- Assists in rescheduling patients after their appointment as instructed by the provider.
- Assists in checking out patients and providing them with instructions from providers.
- Scans in all applicable paperwork and place in chart.
- Assists in patient registration and collecting specific patient information during visits.
- Completes specific work as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at work.
- Communicate effectively and maintain a pleasant demeanor with co-workers, supervisors, and others.
- Moderate level of proficiency in computers including word processing and database operations.
- High level office and organizational skills, including but not limited to answering phone, posting mail, entering checks, etc.
- Attention to detail.
- Follow instructions and work independently.
- Ability to operate the hospital-wide communication system.
- Working knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act [HIPAA] and facility confidentiality policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school or GED equivalent (Required)
- Previous experience with switchboard operation required or experience in general or medical office.
- Requires Criminal Records Background Check
