Westat is seek a front-end developer to join our exciting, collaborative environment and provide design implementation support. The candidate will be part of the Interaction Design Studio (IxD) and will work with designated project teams to produce top-notch, innovative digital solutions. This is position is remote eligible.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop responsive and modern user interfaces based on provided UX/UI wireframes, design compositions, and style guides.
- Collaborate with designers, UX/Information Architect, project teams, and programmers to develop interactive products.
- Craft quality code and solutions for maintainability and extensibility.
- Participate in requirements gathering and offer solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree with 3 plus years of experience.
- Extensive skills with custom HTML5, CSS 3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Sass, jQuery, jQuery plugins, and APIs.
- Experience developing responsive and mobile adaptive websites.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git
- Understanding of design and web production best practices, including (but not limited to) web usability standards, cross-browser compatibility, and building page templates
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks and shifting priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 508 Compliance.
- Ability to code micro-animations and transitions.
