What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millwright 2 position at Western Industrial Resources Corporation?
Position Responsibilities:
- Report to work fit for duty and support the Western Industrial Resources safety culture.
- Follow directions.
- Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools.
- Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs.
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Dismantle machinery or equipment, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools and any other duties that are required by management.
- Any other job duties that are required by management that pertain to this craft
- Support Western Industrial Resources right to a drug free workplace.
- Use and support the use of our Stop Work Authority when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the craft.
- Must possess the hand tools required to complete their assigned duties.
- A positive attitude, self-motivated, eagerness to learn and a willingness to work hard every day.
- An ability to lead by a positive example and a commitment to working as a team.
- Attention and commitment to safety and an ability to follow instructions.
- Valid Driver s license and clean driving record if assigned to a company vehicle.
- Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
- Negative preemployment drug test.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to move 75 pounds.
- Physical dexterity, stamina, and excellent hand-eye coordination with the ability to: grasp, assemble and lift objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces, squat, bend, climb ladders and lie down.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work outdoors with constant exposure to heat, cold, wind and rain.
