Clinic Patient Access Representative
REPORTS TO: Clinic Manager
DEPARTMENT: Family Health Care - Concordia
JOB SUMMARY
As directed, complete accurate registration of all patients presenting to Western Missouri Medical Center for clinical testing, verification of accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs registration duties as requested
Obtains correct patient demographic and insurance information
Determine Benefits, Co-Pays and deductibles
Collects and enters accurate MSP information for Medicare patients
Demonstrates competency with equipment, utilizes supplies and equipment properly
Demonstrates behaviors which promote professionalism
Works without constant supervision, meets deadlines, makes decision based on relevant facts
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Performs other essential duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Typing skills of 45 wmp.
Previous clerical experience.
Great customer service skills.
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic.
