What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist, Full-Time position at Western Reserve?
Performs procedures involving blood collection, central receiving/specimen handling, and limited technical functions to assist the technologist in performing laboratory analysis.
Hours: 40 hours per week, variable hours
Education and Training
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certificate in Phlebotomy or as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Valid Ohio driver's license.
- Six months previous phlebotomy experience AND/OR completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR a Phlebotomy Program.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire and/or transfer.
Experience
Six months previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
