Fitness Instructor

Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a full-time Fitness Instructor (1.0 FTE) to join the Fitness Center!  Responsibilities include administering fitness evaluations, providing exercise prescriptions, conducting personal training, and leading group fitness classes to WWH Fitness Center members.  All of this is done to support the organization’s mission while living our values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administers fitness evaluations consisting of body fat, flexibility, strength, and endurance;
• Provides exercise prescription and personal training;
• Leads/directs group fitness classes;
• Instructs clients in proper use of equipment;
• Monitors clients and adjust programs accordingly;
• Monitors blood pressure, heart rate and perceived effort in order to recognize potential stress of a client;
• Promotes healthy lifestyles to clients and employees;
• Assists with daily stocking/filling towels;
• Fills in at front desk as necessary;
• Reports and resolves complaints;
• Provides information on classes, programs, and activities offered;
• Conducts preventative maintenance on all exercise equipment;
• Assists with wellness activities as assigned;
• Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and
• Other duties as assigned.
