Summary: Wabtec is looking for a new member to join our Global Platform Operations team as a Vulnerability and Compliance Engineer. Our ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in being able to remediate system vulnerabilities across a variety of platform systems. The successful candidate will have a track record of partnering with technical teams to achieve continuous improvement across our various compute platforms. Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with Cyber team to track and resolve all security vulnerability findings within appropriate timeframes Implement and maintain Tanium endpoint security solutions to detect and remediate vulnerabilities in real-time Provide regular Tanium reports and chartings on the state of vulnerabilities and remediation efforts Collaborate with application teams to identify and assess vulnerabilities in applications team OS’s Contribute to the design and deploy of standardized solutions with end-to-end automation for our various patching solutions Participate in the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in operational support Stay current with emerging security threats and trends and make recommendations for improving security posture Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or "STEM" majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Enterprise scale engineering or relevant discipline Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: VMware 7.0 installation, configuration, patching, security hardening and administration Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 configuration, patching, and security hardening experience CVE vulnerability remediation experience Experience with vulnerability management scanners (Tenable) Experience with Tanium or similar patching applications Experience with automating and scripting tasks Understanding of TCP/IP and other networking protocols Experience with ticketing and change request system Physical Demands: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
