What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Electrician -- 1st Shift position at Westinghouse Power and Electric?
Your Day-to-Day:
- Resolve and fix issues with solid state, relay-based, and air logic control systems.
- Set up, maintain and mend switches, junction boxes, wire, control panels, various AC & DC motors, generators, and controllers.
- Set up, maintain and resolve issues with programmable logic controllers and various equipment control systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on all electrical systems.
- Identify and rectify equipment malfunctions.
- Set up and mend electrical distribution systems.
- Read and update electrical schematics.
- Have knowledge of and apply local and national electrical code.
- Maintain equipment and leave work area in a neat and organized condition.
- Comply with accountability, criticality, safety, security and hygiene procedures.
- Carry out traceability function as necessary.
Who You Are:
- Minimum High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 5 years Industrial Maintenance Electrician experience required
- Demonstrated working knowledge of intricate electrical control systems, such as: solid state, PLC, and relay based systems acquired either through appropriate course work or equivalent work experience.
- Satisfactory performance in present position.
- Have knowledge of and apply local and national electrical code.
- Must be able to wire a three phase motor starter with 120 volt start/stop control.
