Job Title: Night Security Aide
Division: Health Department
Reports To: RCA Third Shift Leader
Job Type/Schedule: Per Diem, Weekend Priority
Summary: The Night Security Aide (NSA) provides safety and security to residents and maintains all required documentation pertinent to that shift. The NSA works with the Third Shift Key Aide to ensure all third shift tasks are complete; including routine wellness checks, light maintenance, security detailing, resident care, morning routine, laundering, snow removal, and opening procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure building safety and security through routine perimeter and building safety checks. Complete documentation as necessary.
Assist the Key Aide with third shift tasks, such as wellness checks, morning routine, and basic resident care.
Complete light maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Open the building by ensuring all outside walkways and driveways are clear of debris or snow, and that all common areas are presentable and safe.
Act as Commander-on-Duty (COD) and master emergency and evacuation procedures. Facilitate at least four fire drills annually.
Assist in setting up dining room tables for breakfast, as necessary.
Complete all required documentation and communicate effectively and efficiently when doing shift change with colleagues.
Complete all laundry according to laundering schedule, including kitchen, shower, and resident materials.
Be an empathetic and efficient contact person to all residents, guests, and employees.
Respond to emergencies in an appropriate way according to Westminster Manor guidelines.
Observe and act on concerns as appropriate according to Westminster Manor guidelines.
Communicate professionally with staff and residents, and ensure critical information is passed to appropriate parties in timely fashion.
Clean resident rooms, resident bathrooms, common areas of Westminster Manor and other areas as needed if there is an accident.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Receive all visitors in a helpful and pleasant manner according to Westminster Manor procedures, including screening for COVID as required by current regulations.
Careful observance and compliance of Westminster Manor policies, procedures and employment standards.
Attend all staff meetings and in-services.
Comply with all Westminster Manor, state, federal and other agency guidelines and procedures, including Department of Health regulations.
Participate in fire drills and evacuations and be in compliance with all emergency and evacuation planning.
Other duties as assigned by RCA Team Leaders, the Nurse Case Manager, the Maintenance Manager, and/or the Executive Director.

Language Ability:

· High School Diploma/GED
· 2 years of experience in residential programs and/or senior care and/or security
Specialized Training:
· Comfort level working with senior population
