Wastewater Technician

Weston & Sampson Services is currently looking for a Technician to support operations, maintenance and management of their Chatham, MA project.

What you’ll do:

• Operation of a Roll-off and a Vac Truck as needed
• Monitoring and observing operating conditions and adjusting process controls as necessary
• Troubleshooting of plant equipment and performing minor maintenance as necessary
• Repair and perform maintenance on water distribution system and pumping stations
• Collecting samples and performing routine lab tests
• Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements
• Maintaining accurate records of operations and maintenance activities
• Compiling monthly data for compliance reporting
• General housekeeping at facilities
• Perform weekend & holiday coverage and emergency alarms on a rotating basis

What you will bring:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• CDL License with Tanker endorsement required.
• Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment License or ability to obtain within one year
• Collection system license a plus
• Ability to climb ladders and lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Scientific and mechanical aptitude; the ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles and other equipment
• Familiarity with computers in a Windows based environment
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license
