Purpose
Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities
Fulfills occupancy goals as described in annual forecast.
Assists incoming residents with transition and move to the facility.
Assists residents moving out or transferring from one apartment to another.
Coordinates refurbishing, cleaning and inspection of all units in a timely and acceptable standard with the Environmental Services Director.
Communicates incoming resident’s special needs or requirements to Director of Home Care and other departments as appropriate.
Assists in report production : weekly, monthly, move-ins / outs and others as directed.
Coordinates incoming resident’s assessments (if applicable).
Coordinates and completes move-in documentation, pre-admission paperwork and financial transactions.
Assists pre-occupancy residents in all facets of the move including, but not limited to, sale of home, helping with moving company arrangements, furniture selection, etc.
Is present or arranges for a staff member to be available at the community during all new resident move-ins.
Ensures that new residents are programmed in the Emergency Call System and receive pendants.
Works in conjunction with the Director of Marketing to ensure the distribution of new resident gift bags and ordering of flowers / plants.
Supports Marketing Team by assisting with tours, hosting functions, community outreach, staffing trade shows, etc., as directed by the Director of Marketing or Executive Director.
Assists with the transition of resident from Marketing to Operations.
Assists in the sales process with prospects.
Conducts home visits with prospective residents as directed.
Responsible for the rental of indoor parking to generate revenue when not fully occupied by residents.
Attends community events as directed by the Executive Director and promotes good will.
Participates in the Manager on Duty program.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel, and the general public.
Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility. Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.
Education and Experience
High school degree and / or related experience.College degree preferred.
High degree of accuracy and excellent organizational skills.Must be able to work with frequent interruptions.
Understanding of older adults.Must be flexible, self-motivated goal oriented and have excellent communication skills.Employs professional ethics and ability to work in a stressful environment.
