The opportunity:
- As the Sr. Manager, Finance, you will have overall
Finance responsibility for ten locations across the US and Canada with over $1
billion of revenue.
- Reporting to the Sr.
Director, Finance for Wide Format Consumer Packaging, the role will, through
fact-based analysis, provide insights, recommendations, analysis and drive
improvements in operations, sales and the overall profitability of the Region
and Division.
- In this role, you will be
a business partner to the Region Vice President, multiple General Managers and
accountable for the bottom-line results in conjunction with Plants, Region and
Division management.
- You will also lead the Gross productivity process for the
Division.
- You will provide leadership
for the finance team in your area, including developing talent, mentoring and
coaching one professional.
How you will
impact WestRock:
- Provide accurate and timely financial analysis, and support variances from budgets and forecasts from a business perspective and work with management on problems/issues as identified and participate in providing solutions.
- Support weekly and monthly forecast updates from a business perspective, guiding Region and Division management on changes in volume and EBITDA.
- Analyze trends in manufacturing, sales and other related areas to better understand and manage the business.
- Provide a fact-based understanding of the bottom-line benefit for all Region decisions and/or opportunities.
- Support division innovation initiatives with business case development, analytics and partnership.
- Lead Division Gross Productivity process.
- Prepare ad hoc financial and business-related analysis and research as necessary, from and for an operations and business perspective.
- Provide Sales, Operations/Manufacturing and Capital support.
- Ensure proper accounting processes and controls are implemented and followed.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting,
Finance or Business Administration; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- Finance career progression in
corporate/operations finance with 10 years of experience.
- Experience in the paper and packaging
industry or another manufacturing or operations environment is required.
- Demonstrated experience managing and
exerting influence on diverse teams, with full responsibility for hiring,
development and performance management.
- Strong analytical ability/perspective required along with willingness to dive into the details.
- Strong verbal and written
communication skills and demonstrated experience as a business partner to
operational leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to
communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Must be a self-starter and
completely self-directed, with a passion for continuous improvement and
ambition to continue to grow to greater levels of responsibility.
- Strong PC skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, pivot tables and data mining. Prior Hyperion experience
desired.
