Maintenance Technician - Aurora

The opportunity:

Primary duties include providing safe and timely electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair.

What you need to succeed:

*over nights shift available (7pm - 7am with 4 days on and 4 days off)

*A basic understanding of Preventative Maintenance programs
*A strong understanding of Lockout / Tagout processes
*Demonstrate the ability to consistently work in a safe and productive manner
*Demonstrate the ability to execute a preventative maintenance checklist
*Knowledge / experience with basic mechanical components & concepts:
-Gearing & Gearboxes
-Bearings (sealed and unsealed)
-Drive Shafts
-Couplings
-Sprockets
-Chains
-Lubrication Systems / Greasing Programs
*A basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
*Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
*Working knowledge of power transmission equipment.
*Familiar with pumps, both pneumatic and electric.
*Ability to understand the operation of the various sensors and limit switches
i.e. Proximity Sensors / Photo-eyes / Reed Switches
*Familiar with computers:
-Microsoft Office Programs
-CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner.
*Ability to work flexible hours, overtime
*Basic welding and fabrication skills are desired but not required
