GENERAL PURPOSE : Responsible for supporting the Quality Operations by providing leadership in the areas of quality control and supporting all aspects of the quality systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Facilitates development, implementation, and compliance of Quality Systems, including review of plant wide SOP’s.
Participates in and/or performs customer audits, supplier audits and internal audits and communicates audit findings.
Provides development and training of management in quality system and quality improvement tools.
Facilitates and participates in quality meetings
Implements corrective actions for internal non-conformance, supplier non-conformance and specific customer complaints.
Provides supervision to others through motivation, direction, review, or feedback of assigned tasks related to quality systems and tools.
Develop, motivate, and manage a Quality team (QA/QC) that optimizes quality operations.
Provide authoritative guidance and advice on all aspects of quality to the site team and employees; train and coach employees improving knowledge and skills.
Provides technical assistance to production departments.
Works closely with production management to maximize product quality and reliability and to minimize cost.
Makes decisions concerning quality for products produced at site
Develops and trains all staff on all modules of Q-Pulse.
Oversee calibration activities.
Utilize problem solving tools to resolve internal and external product/process failures.
Management of internal deviations, customer complaints, audit reports and training records within the Q-Pulse database.
Support introduction of new equipment on site and validation processes to meet safety and customer expectations.
Assist to establish, train and audit processes across all departments to ensure achievement of required goals consistent with the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Assist in coordinating and facilitating customer and third-party certification activities necessary to maintain compliance.
Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
Responsible for following Quality Management Systems procedures and documentation.
Establish a safe work environment through the implementation of pro-active housekeeping and safety practices. Strictly enforce all safety guidelines.
Take on other projects and responsibilities as required.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree in a Quality or Operations related field or equivalent related work experience required.
Minimum of 2 years of Quality experience. Printing industry experience preferred.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Solid math and measurement skills.
Time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient with MS Office and related software.
Ability to perform well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proven record of fostering teamwork.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 preferred.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills.
