STARTING SALARY RANGE: $65,000-$75,000 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY:
This individual will fill a key role within Westview by supporting various aspects of finance and accounting for the company. The successful candidate will need to be effective and experienced in operational accounting, and must have the ability to balance accuracy and attention to detail with deadlines and time constraints. The position requires solid accounting experience combined with strong analytical skills. The candidate will fit well in an environment that rewards bright, self-starting, energetic, focused individuals eager to taken on responsibility and challenge. Individual in this position will need to possess strong problem solving skills, work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, decision-making , ability, and ability to work with others. This position will support various aspects of the financial cycle including, but not limited to, working with company executive team, assisting in various audits, and monitoring metrics of the business to aide in daily operational decisions. The successful candidate will be familiar with tax law and the regulations around doing business in multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage this all, correctly ordering priorities and projects, and communicating with management throughout.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure accuracy of all accounting related data, audit transactions to check for completeness and accuracy, code and recode to appropriate accounts and departments as necessary
- Prepare company payroll
- Maintain financial reports
- Work with CPA in filing tax returns
- Assist bookkeeper in managing AP and AR as necessary
- Help to reconcile and maintain general accounts
- Prepare necessary reports for operations team
- Compile and analyze financial data, identify trends, and offer suggestions for improvement
- Assist in managing cash flow
- Ensure timely payment of vendor and operational bills
- Manage accounting task list and achieve 100% on time completion
- Oversee prevailing wage compliance for projects as necessary
- Oversee the month end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes
- Manage state and local tax registrations and filings
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of sales and payroll tax accounting across multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to create and manage complex Excel workbooks
- Abstract problem solving skills
- Ability to manage interrelated deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work well with individuals outside of the accounting department
- Strong ethical focus

- Detailed oriented, with excellent ability to analyze data
