What are the responsibilities and job description for the International PR Manager position at Whip Media?
Whip Media is seeking a self-motivated and creative communications professional to join our communications team, focused on Europe.
The right candidate will be a passionate PR professional with excellent media relations skills. The ideal candidate is able to work autonomously as well as across teams; has a proven track record planning and executing media campaigns informed by data that drive measurable results. They will have a strong storytelling ability and experience in adapting communications to suit various audiences.
What will you do?
- Develop and execute regional PR plans to fully support communications in focus countries (France, Italy, Germany, Spain and UK).
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key media in entertainment business, consumer and national press in those countries.
- Creatively and strategically pitch stories about Whip Media, our products and data. Secure media coverage through ongoing news generation; thought leadership pieces; and data campaigns.
- Align and integrate plans with marketing, social, sales and other business and brand stakeholders.
- Write/develop and manage approvals for a variety of media materials and thought leadership articles.
What do you need?
- 5 plus years of relevant PR experience either in-house or at an agency
- Experience working with entertainment business, trade media and consumer contacts and a deep understanding of what resonates with them
- Experience executing product launches, speaking engagements, press around industry trade shows and driving an overall company narrative and PR plan
- Think and communicate clearly – formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative to express it
- Written and spoken English. A familiarity with French, Spanish, German, Italian is a plus
- Experience working with a B2B or B2B entertainment-focused company is a plus
