What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Culinary Extern - Brant Point Grill position at White Elephant Resorts?
The Brant Point Grill is seeking SPRING/SUMMER Culinary Externs to join our culinary team. This position will be responsible for the plan, prep, set up and preparation in all areas of the culinary department.
Responsibilities:
- Start prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day
- Organize all of the various prep items needed from different areas to ensure that all items are in place and ready for service
- Prepare menu items following recipes and yield guide
- Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and Hotel requirements
- Breakdown work station and complete closing duties
- Wrap, cover, label and date all items being put away.
Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and have a great sense of humor.
