What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - ED position at Whitecap Search?
WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an Emergency Room Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Essex County MA. This nurse will be expected to float as needed.
Job Function:
- Responsible for managing the care of adult and/or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions
- Provide support, education and comfort to patients and their families during their emergency room experience
- Close communication with all members of the healthcare team, as well as the ability to independently recognize the need for early intervention
- Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic testing
- Provide IV insertion, intubation, medicine administration, blood drawing, and many other medical procedures
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN license for the state that you are working in (or willingness to obtain)
- 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience is required
- 2 years Telemetry RN experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association are required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
