NIGHT SECURITY
JOB DESCRIPTION
Status: Seasonal, Full-time/ Part-Time, Non-exempt
Responsibility: Medium level of supervision needed. Medium level of decision making.
Reports to: Guest Services Manager, accountable to front desk staff during shift
Supervises: N/A
Skill:
- Basic Administrative Skills - Use of technology, verbal and written communication, business correspondence, organization, time management.

- Excellent Safety Skills – Observe safety rules, safely operate equipment, food safety consciousness, CPR and First Aid.
Effort: Medium – Walk and stand for extended periods of time. Bend, reach, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Work Conditions: Level 3 – Half of the work is performed indoors, half outdoors, half of the work is performed in an air-conditioned environment, variable schedule based on business demands, some duties require working with hazards.
Duties:
- The Night Security/House Person is to observe and report all issues that arise during shift to Front Desk and or Guest Services Manager based on established protocol.
- Works in cooperation with Night Auditor.
- Secure all buildings; verify all doors and windows are locked.
- Once per evening, early in the shift, patrol all the Club’s outbuildings, particularly Tennis House, JA, Golf House, and Golf Course buildings for general security.
- Secure dorm areas and enforce resident staff ‘quiet time’ and behavior policies, provide support to staff including lockouts, approved transport.
- Communicate to Guest Services Manager and HR Department to document any resident staff issues.
- Document any problems and their ultimate solutions in the Security Log report for the day.
- Understand all emergency procedures and aid in the evacuation of members, guests, and employees in case of fire or other emergency. Notify proper authorities.
- Be always available to respond to front desk staff needs via radio or cell. Check in at established intervals as to whereabouts and current activity
- Perform duties such as light maintenance and janitorial work as directed. This includes cleaning and sanitizing of vehicles and guest areas related to COVID-19 prevention.
- Set up morning coffee.
- Respond to guest requests through front desk staff for luggage assistance, transportation, ice, lockouts, noise complaints, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
