The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wichita State University is seeking applicants for an Assistant Clinical Faculty position to work in the Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. This position is a non-tenure eligible, clinical position for an audiologist with an AuD or PhD degree; ASHA Certification and 3 years of clinical experience with expertise in amplification and the fitting of assistive listening devices is required. Experience with cochlear implants is desirable. Will involve flexible hours (including some evenings, until 8:00 pm).Responsibilities will include teaching two graduate-level amplification courses (one fall, one spring) and supervising students during their clinical rotations in the Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic and surrounding Wichita area. A willingness to mentor student research (one student per cohort) is desirable. Candidate will be expected to work with students, staff, and clients of all ages and from diverse backgrounds. Candidate must demonstrate strong, effective communication (oral and written), organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and counseling skills.
