Job Overview:
The Tiki Bar and Event Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Wicked Dolphin Tiki Bar, as well as coordinate and manage all events hosted at the Tiki Bar and within the distillery’s property. The role requires a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about customer service, event planning, and craft spirits with a tiki flare. This person will be responsible for ensuring the Tiki Bar runs smoothly, creating an engaging customer experience, and organizing a range of events from small gatherings to large-scale entertainment.
Key Responsibilities:
Bar Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Tiki Bar, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Train, supervise, and schedule bartenders and staff to maintain a friendly and efficient working environment.
- Develop seasonal cocktail menus in collaboration with the distillery team, ensuring innovative use of Wicked Dolphin products.
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with local and state health regulations
Event Planning & Management:
- Plan, organize, and execute events at the Tiki Bar, including live music performances, cocktail events, private parties, and food truck festivals.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including booking entertainment, arranging for food and beverage services, and managing setup/breakdown.
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote events and the Tiki Bar through social media, local advertising, and email campaigns.
- Collaborate with vendors, food trucks, and local businesses for event partnerships.
Customer Experience:
- Ensure exceptional customer service and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Engage with customers during events to gather feedback and promote the distillery’s offerings.
Inventory & Financial Management:
- Monitor bar inventory, place orders for spirits, mixers, and other supplies as needed.
- Track sales and manage cash flow, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting to the staff bookkeeper.
- Implement strategies to meet or exceed monthly revenue goals.
Staff Management:
- Creates and maintains staff schedules.
- Lead and motivate the bar and event team, ensuring high staff morale and positive team dynamics.
- Conduct regular staff training sessions on customer service, cocktails, and product knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bar management and event planning.
- Knowledge of POS systems and inventory tracking.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of craft cocktails and experience in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of Wicked Dolphin spirits and a passion for the craft distillery industry is a plus.
