Retail Store Manager
Job Purpose: To deliver on the mission of Wilco by profitably providing superior customer service.
Job Summary: Profitably lead and manage a retail store location, including sales and merchandising, inventory, facility image, personnel, and planning.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises Administrative Specialist, Salesperson, Cashier, Warehouser, Area Specialist, Grooming Department, Receiving Department, and other store positions.
- Manage store personnel including staff selection, training, mentoring, coaching and evaluating employees.
- Oversee location sales and customer service using established retail customer service standards.
- Facilitate store location inventory productivity.
- Manage and maintain store facility and location equipment using established retail image standards.
- Direct location merchandise management including receiving, merchandising and selling of product utilizing procedures established by retail administration.
- Manage daily store sales, bookkeeping responsibility, local expense approval, monitor and act on daily reports, inventory and other computer or manual practices.
- Participate as a member of the retail management team.
- Plan and execute annual operating budgets for the store location including sales and margin projections and expense control.
- Lead and participate in regular and special meetings.
- Participate in special project work when requested. And other responsibilities and/or tasks as assigned.
Special Skills/Training:
- Knowledge of management, supervision practices, principles and regulations.
- Knowledge of the industry and support of company core values.
- Skill to operate computer systems and automated office machines.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to customers and staff.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
Experience/Education:
- 5 years of retail experience.
- 2 years of retail management experience.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
