The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for supervising work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms are held to Wilderness standards.
This is a full time position with day, night, and weekend availability.
Essential duties and tasks of the position include but are not limited to:
Implements standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff. Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service.
Coordinates work activities among departments.
Directs and coordinates various activities designed to promote and maintain a high level of employee morale.
Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
Evaluates records to forecast department personnel requirements and communicates recommendations to Housekeeping Manager and Executive Housekeeping Manager.
Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment.
Assists their direct Housekeeping Manager and/or the Executive Housekeeping Manager in budget
performance and initiating cost saving directives in the housekeeping department.
Submits to management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space.
Periodically inventories supplies and equipment.
Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.
