JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Systems Analyst works closely with managers and staff from all departments to oversee the configuration, integration, ongoing improvement and support of core business application software and databases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Systems Coordination:
- Coordinate the installation and configuration of core business systems to ensure fit for the organization.
- Manage the integration and stewardship of data resources to ensure a common view, ease of access and efficient business processes.
- Work cross-functionally with the management team to identify, evaluate, and prioritize key business systems that require technology support.
- Devise and consult for ways to add new functionality to existing software systems
Business AnalysisProject Management:
- Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders
- Manage projects to improve existing or create new information systems.
- Research emerging technologies to decide if installing them can increase the organization's efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze costs and benefits so that management can decide if information systems projects, upgrades or improvements are financially worthwhile.
- Design and develop new systems by choosing and configuring hardware and software.
TestingSupportTraining:
- Conduct testing to ensure that the systems work as expected.
- Provide user support and liaison with software vendors and/or service providers.
- Complete training as needed to stay current on IT practices and understand his/her contribution to the achievement of company objectives.
- Train the system's end users and write instruction manuals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or related field required.
- 3 or more years of IT application delivery, business process analysis and/or project management experience.
- Knowledge of IT System Development Lifecycle methods.
- Working understanding of databases and data management, business analysis, and lifecycle management of business systems.
- Strong understanding of business value assessment and organizational change management for technology initiatives.
- Analytical skills to identify and manage information sources and report on key business performance metrics.
- Onsite attendance, remote work options on approved exceptions.
