Summary

Willdan is seeking a Program Manager to manage energy efficiency programs and projects to meet program goals. The Program Manager at Willdan will serve as the primary point of contact for our client. This person will identify, define, and coordinate a multitude of energy efficiency, demand reduction and distributed generation projects for customers in the client’s territory in Pennsylvania. This role combines fieldwork with office time (part time virtual work is possible).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Program management includes program design, coordination with technical staff and subcontractors, program marketing, tracking, and reporting.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for our client.
  • Manages multiple programs to meet program goals.
  • Defines the staff and budget resource requirements, operational expectations, and internal reporting requirements.
  • Organizes and directs the project operational team including internal engineering resources, analysts, and project managers as well as external resources such as partners, vendors, and contractors.
  • Conducts outreach to target customers and scheduling site visits.
  • Develops and captures new projects with new and existing customers.
  • Coordinates energy assessments, analyzing energy audit data and compiling audit reports.
  • Manages program budgets including forecasting and development.
  • Supports and leads continuous improvement evaluation and recommendations to ensure operational efficiency and quality customer service and drives best practices.
  • Recognizes inefficiencies in processes and develops solutions.
  • Prepares and presents necessary reports, data, program details, and status updates.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required as business needs dictate.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business or Engineering preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of project/program management experience.
  • Experience with building systems and operation, including knowledge of HVAC, lighting, and refrigeration systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders while delivering excellent customer service in a highly dynamic growth environment.
  • Strategic thought partner who excels in listening, influencing, communicating, and partnering effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving, entrepreneurial work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel (50%) to meetings and events as needed to support the program.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell; traverse business office areas. Must be able to type on a computer keyboard, use 10-key, dial a telephone and efficiently utilize other common office equipment requiring the ability to use fingers and hands on a regular basis using fine motor movements. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, complex ideas, information, and concepts to all levels in the organization including executive management. Must be able to participate in verbal and written conversations, requiring ability to read, talk, hear, and understand what others are communicating as well as able to write, speak and effectively communicate with others.


Workplace Conditions and Environment:

Regularly works in a modern business office environment and works at other off-site locations. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, regular business hours. This position may infrequently require longer hours and weekend work. Office environment is temperature controlled from 65 – 75 degrees, no exposure to variable extremes of excessive heat or cold temperatures. Mild exposure to electrical shock through the use of office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, cellular phones and copier machines.

Modern office equipment used includes personal computer, printer, telephone, cellular phone and copy machine.
