Williams and Hill are an established fine art shipping and storage company based in Long Island City, New York, who handle all areas of fine art transport, storage and installation and we are currently looking for experienced candidates to join our growing team.
We are currently seeking full time Drivers, Art Handlers, and Installers.
An ideal applicant would have at least 2 years’ professional practice within a similar role, be detail orientated and organized, highly motivated and carry out their role in a professional manner and have strong communication skills, a genuine interest in contemporary Art and Design Furniture is also preferred. Full in house training will also be provided.
Williams and Hill also participate in the shipping and installation of all major Art Fairs in New York, Miami and Europe and we are actively working to increase our participation and presence in these fairs, candidates who already have Art Fair experience are highly encouraged to apply as we look to grow this team.

Role, Responsibilities, and requirements include but are not limited to
Drivers:
- Ability to drive a 26ft box truck in NYC and the tri-state area
- A clean NY State driving license
- Current and working knowledge of NY State driving laws and regulations
- Ability to safely load and secure a truck with works of varying media
- Demonstrable ability to pack artworks of various media
- Able to safely lift 70lbs
- Maintaining a clean and well stocked truck
- Loading and unloading your truck before and after the days run
- Ability to work in customer facing environments with suitable decorum
- Ability in install works beneficial but not essential
- Dependable, consistent and punctual attendance is essential
- Weekend and evening work can be required on occasion
- Able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English
Art Handlers / Installers
- Proficient knowledge of the various packing methods and safe handling of all artwork medias, furniture and antiques and a demonstratable ability of this.
- Ability to safely load and secure a truck with works of varying media
- Ability to work in customer facing environments with suitable decorum
- Dependable, consistent and punctual attendance is essential
- Weekend and evening work can be required on occasion
- Receiving and releasing warehouse shipments, completing paperwork and BOL’s in a detailed manner, maintaining accurate inventory records and completing artwork condition reports
- Maintaining accurate storage records
- Keeping the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion, making sure crates and efficiently racked whilst maintaining the integrity and safely of the piece
- A demonstratable ability to install artworks if applying for an installation role
- Loading and unloading of trucks at the start and end of each day
- Able to safely lift 70lbs
- Able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English
