HOW YOU WOULD BE SPENDING YOUR TIME AS A STAFF ACCOUNTANT
The Staff Accountant works closely with construction project teams to accurately track and support overall project performance.
- Works directly with accounting team members including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
- Reconciles and ensures accuracy for select balance sheet accounts.
- Accrues sales tax liabilities and processes adjustments and returns monthly.
- Provides support as needed to project teams to ensure expense reports are submitted on time.
- Records change orders in the accounting system accurately and promptly.
- Coordinates with project teams to review projects for completion and imitates the process to close out jobs in the accounting system.
- Provides timely and accurate responses to ensure smooth project operations.
- You have 2 - 5 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in construction.
- You have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar.
- You are an excel expert.
- You have experience with Sage 300, Concur, and/or Procore software.
- You have the ability to manage competing priorities and assignments.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and love working in a collaborative environment.
- You are detail oriented with excellent problem solving skills.
- You are able to pass our required background check.
