POSITION: Manager (FT) – Student Success Center
Effective immediately: (FT) Manager in Wilmington University’s Student Success Center, New Castle location.
Requirements: Master’s degree in relevant field of study is required with a minimum of (2) years of relevant experience. Experience in higher education and/or counseling preferred. Must have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills. Demonstrated program management skills and student service background preferred. Must be detail oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of Ellucian CRM products, Banner and Canvas are preferred. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations is essential.
- Oversee the daily operations and management of the New Castle SSC.
- Expand and oversee online and in person tutoring at New Castle, Brandywine, Dover, and NJ sites.
- Schedule tutors, part-time staff, and peer mentors for all locations and prepares monthly part-time staff compensation report.
- Manage the Peer Mentoring Program for FYE 101 classes.
- Schedule and assist with SSC representation at open houses, info sessions, and student events.
- Collect and analyze SSC assessment data and reporting.
- Manage the Testing Lab and the ACCUPLACER, ALEKS and CTA 206 Competency Exam assessments. Making any changes to the systems at the directive of Academic Affairs.
- Ensure accurate recording of assessment scores into Banner.
- Manage ordering and reporting for Smarthinking.
- Collaborate with the Student Success Center and with the Educational Effectiveness Coordinators to identify students who would benefit from tutoring services or seminars
- Oversee the budget for the SSC, and assists in making decisions for Compass.
- Assist the Senior Director of Educational Effectiveness in the expansions of the SSC and in accomplishment of long-term goals.
- Work closely with the Office of Student Accessibility Services to provide tutoring services for students with disabilities.
- Oversee the maintenance of the SSC website.
- Update and maintainsORG.DEPT.SSC.PEER.MENTORING and ORG.DEPT.SSC.TUTORING.HANDBOOK in Canvas.
- Attend conferences and is a member of the National College Learning Center Association and the College Reading & Learning Association.
- Other duties which may be assigned by the Sr. Director and/or AVP.
Hours of Employment: Monday – Friday: Generally, working hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, the incumbent must have the flexibility to work a combination of day and late hours, and occasional Saturdays. Travel to our sites may be required.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
