Wilsonart is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to manage our newly defined Eastern Region. The new Eastern Region covers New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Eastern Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and the Panhandle of Florida.
Candidate must reside within the territory and be able to travel within the territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages product sales activities for key accounts or key products.
- Analyses sales statistics to formulate selling strategies.
- Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops.
- Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
- Acts as a liaison between the sales department and other sales-related units.
- Develop customer base, regional sales and marketing programs.
- Establish annual goals for each direct report. Develop the abilities of all direct reports
- Train, monitor, check and approve the financial status of the region
- Review and analyze monthly financial statements.
- Coordination of launch samples/collaterals and timely placement of said samples/collaterals.
- Target specific accounts for new product sales or increased penetration of existing sales.
- Review Salesforce activity for Sales/Specification/Residential reps dashboards and reports.
- Develop and analyze sales reports to determine where both growth and decline in sales is occurring.
- Implement price increases and react to competitive activity with proper documentation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of NEMA standards applicable to the Sales Department and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
- Knowledge of the product and its marketing performance.
- Knowledge of marketing principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office tools and customer relations management tools
- Ability to communicate well in oral and written form with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage a team.
- Ability to sell products.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel within and outside eastern region.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree Required or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree
WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stoop, climb or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.
ENVIRONMENT: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
