Assembler job details:
As an entry level assembly operator, you will be responsible for the assembly of components for installation on refrigeration units. This position will be assigned to work on the shop floor in a climate controlled, manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform assembly and inspection processes
- Complete work required within the cycle time
- Use hand tools to assemble hardware with various clamps, clips and brackets
- Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection
Equipment:
- Maintain shop supplies and floor stock and tools used in product processes
- Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies
- Maintain departmental quality standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- HVAC assembly experience preferred
- Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to use hand tools such as battery-operated tools, hand click torque tools, tie wrap cutters, nut drivers, and DC electric tools
Setting up and operating different machines, running and monitoring the output of machine tools, a highly automated manufacturing cell or process. Working on or monitoring the output of an automated assembly line or assembly station. Know the manufacturing process in great detail, troubleshooting at an appropriate level and involving senior members of staff if/when they are not able to correct the problem. Monitor and check the product quality as they will be responsible for identifying when the process is deviating from the norm and taking action to correct it. Maintain accurate and clear documentation that proves that manufacturing is being carried out in accordance with both internal and external quality systems or regulations.
